Science of International Meditation Center

The 55,110 square foot Science of Spirituality International Meditation Center has a low façade juxtaposed with gold-clad volumes housing a 1200 seat multiuse meditation hall and sanctuary space. Gensler architects designed the elliptical gold volumes as a unique form that draws attention to the sky.

Architectural Panel Systems furnished and installed the exterior wall panels with vertical structural steel trusses that create angles from flat walls around two ovals.

The 22,000 square feet of .125-inch aluminum plate panels were fabricated with a laser cut custom perforated pattern with an accenting back panel to make the perforated pattern appear more prominent.

The project was featured on the October 2019 cover of Metal Architecture magazine.
